Maranatha car show is Saturday

The cars will be on show and the tires will be burning when Maranatha Church sponsors its 16th annual Strut Your Stuff Car Show & Tire Burnout this Saturday. The annual summer event will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Maranatha Church, 24799 Forest Blvd. (US-61) between Forest Lake and Wyoming. Admission is $3 for adults with children under 12 free.

All makes of vehicles are welcome to enter the car show. A contestant entry fee of $10 will be charged.n The show will feature race cars, street rods, stock cars, street machines, custom cars, trucks, motorcycles, private collection displays and pro-stock motorcycle displays.

Trophies will be awarded in all classes. Awards will be announced at 3:30 p.m.

Strut Your Stuff is an event not only for car owners but the public in general, said Pastor Mike Haseltine. The public is welcome to stop by, take in the show and enjoy the great food that will be served all day, he said.

There will be activities for car fans of all ages, including special childrenís activities. There will be T-shirts, video presentations and door prizes.
