A day to fiddle in Scandia

Large crowds flocked to Scandiaís GammelgÂrden Saturday, August 17 for Spelmansstamma. The event, which ran from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. featured smorgasbords, artist and crafters sales and music. The musicians and dancers paraded down Olinda Trail to the museum at 1 p.m., shown above, before beginning the Allspel Concert. A variety of groups lent their talents to the event, including Twin Cities Folk Dancers, American Swedish Institute, Ki Chi Saga dancers and Twin Cities Nyckelharplag, among others.
