FL basketball team to play at Target Center

A basketball court generally reserved for the likes of Kevin Garnett and Wally Szczerbiak will be the site of a Forest Lake girls basketball game next week.

Forest Lakeís game with Champlin Park at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20, will take place at Target Center, home of the NBAís Minnesota Timberwolves, in downtown Minneapolis.

The game was originally scheduled as a Forest Lake home game, but when the opportunity presented itself to play at Target Center, Forest Lake coach Jack Bender said it was too good to pass up.

ìThe ability to get on the court is an exciting opportunity for the kids,î Bender said.

The sophomore, junior varsity and varsity teams will all play next Friday night at Target Center.
Tickets are available for all three games at a price of $10 apiece. Tickets can then be redeemed for a free $22 ticket to a future Timberwolves game.
