Highway 8 Task Force meets Dec. 12

The Highway 8 Task Force meeting scheduled for Monday, Dec.16 has been rescheduled. The meeting will be on Thursday, Dec. 12, and Congressman James Oberstar will attend. The meeting will be at 7 p.m. at Lindstrom City Hall, 13292 Sylvan Ave. in Lindstrom.

The Highway 8 Task Force was formed to assist the Minnesota Department of Transportation in identifying transportation capacity needs along the US-8 corridor, recommending projects along US-Highway 8 from I-35 to Taylors Falls and soliciting funding for projects. The Highway 8 Task Force consists of representatives from Chisago County as well as cities and the townships adjacent to US-8.
