Elderly FL woman is sexually assaulted

An elderly Forest Lake woman was the victim of a sexual assault that took place on July 14 near her home at Jergens Estates on SE 15th Ave., city police said this week.

The sexual assault was reported to authorities on Monday, July 15, police said. The assault took place at 6 p.m. on July 14. The woman told police she was outside her residence when she was attacked.

The victim described her assailant as a white male about 5-foot-5 with a husky build and brown hair. The man is believed to be in his late teens to his early 30s, police said.

The suspect was wearing a blue uniform shirt/jacket about waist length. He was clean cut without facial hair, police said.
