Forest View is a School of Excellence

It was Forest View Elementary Schoolís night to shine as Elmer Koch of the Minnesota Elementary School Principalís Association was on hand June 4 to present the school with a renewal of its School of Excellence designation. Koch presented the award to Principal Janet Palmer. Former Gov. Arne Carlson, a Forest Lake resident, was guest speaker and praised the school for its achievement as one of seven schools in the state to earn the designation this year. Carlson challenged parents to work in harmony with the school to continue the level of excellence. Following the program, Gov. Carlson greeted students as they left the auditorium and joined the delegation in the cafeteria for lemonade. (Photo By Cliff Buchan)
