Duluth East brought an end to the Forest Lake boys tennis season on Tuesday, May 28.

Duluth East took three of four singles matches and two of three doubles matches to earn a 5-2 victory over the Rangers in the Section 7AA semifinals.

While the match marked the 10th straight year the Rangers have reached the section semifinals, the Greyhounds, with just two seniors on the team, stopped Forest Lake from reaching the finals.

Forest Lakeís only wins came from Alec Framke at No. 1 singles and from its No. 3 doubles team of Tyler Anderson and Max Conrad.

Framke won his match 7-5, 6-2 while Anderson and Conrad rallied for a 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 victory.
In the singles portion of the section tournament, Forest Lake senior Aaron Rupar reached the semifinals before falling as did the doubles team of senior Steve Maefsky and junior Nick Frantzen.
