2 students taking part in FPS World Bowl

Two ISD 831 students will be in Connecticut this week for the Future Problem Solving Bowl World Finals.

Kelsey Lefto, a seventh grader at Southwest Junior High School, and Abby Sauer, a sixth grade student at Forest View Elementary School, have qualified as Minnesota individual champions to the World Bowl.

The two students will compete in the scenario-writing competition. Sauer will compete in the junior division; Lefto will compete in the intermediate division.

The Future Problem Solving World Bowl takes place June 6-9 in Storrs, CT at the University of Connecticut.

For Lefto, the trip to Storrs marks her third World Bowl appearance. Sauer is making her second trip to the World Bowl.

The two qualified this spring at the state bowl in Robbinsdale.

Their coaches are Dave and Lisa Sauer, teachers in ISD 831.
