Voiture 44 donates $10,000 to city

Thanks to a donation by Voiture 44, the city of Forest Lake coffers are $10,000 stronger this week. Voiture used charitable gambling proceeds to make the donation. The city plans to use the money to fund a special Forest Lake Police Department motorcycle unit which is forming. The city will lease two motorcycles and needs funding to equip the cycles and buy helmets and radio gear. City Administrator Chip Robinson received the check last week from Voiture 44 Chef de Gare Dwight Dupay. Four of the seven department officers who will be part of the motorcycle detail are standing behind Dupay and Robinson. They are; Sean Lafferty, Tom Hagert, Jake Ayers and Kirby Siewert.
