FL Rid Litter Day is Saturday

Rid Litter Day will arrive this Saturday. Forest Lakeís annual clean-up day will take place Saturday, May 4 from 8 a.m. to noon.

The event will be staged in the north end of the Northland Mall parking. Area residents are welcome to use Rid Litter Day as an avenue to get rid of just about anything with the exception of household hazardous waste.

Rates are in place for items delivered to Rid Litter Day. They include $5 and up for each car load of trash and $20 for a pickup load of trash. Dehumidifiers and air conditioners have fixed rates of $25; most car tires can be dropped off for $2 each. Carpet can be tossed at a charge of $1 for each yard while a mattress or box spring can be dropped for $15 each.
