Rangers place 6th at Midland

Freshman Jacob Svenkeson shot a 43 to lead the Forest Lake boys golf team to a season-best, sixth-place finish at a Suburban East Conference meet on Thursday, April 25, at Midland Hills.

Forest Lake finished with a team score of 178 while White Bear Lake won with a 163.
ìI like the trend of moving up in the standings and the consistent scores,î Forest Lake coach Roger Cheyne said.

Phil Parzino and Dan Svenkeson followed with 44 apiece while Noah Lawson shot a 47, Brad Lange had a 51 and Nate Denny finished with a 56.

On Wednesday, April 24, Forest Lake teams finished 19th and 20th at the Forest Lake Invitational. The Rangersí top scores came from Dan Svenkeson (88) and Lawson (90).

On Tuesday, April 23, Forest Lake finished with a 180 to place eighth in a SEC meet at the White Bear Yacht Club. Charlie Mayer, Parzino, Dan Svenkeson and Matt Thorp each shot a 45 while Jacob Svenkeson shot a 49 and Denny shot a 57.
