Synchronized swim team downs Osseo
The Forest Lake Senior High synchronized swimming team defeated Osseo 32-11 on Thursday, April 25, at Southwest Junior High. The Rangersí extended team of Katie Erickson, Laurey Kiehne, Hannah McKenzie, Emily Carlson, Leslie Schwarz, Morgan Larson and Jenna Perrault took first. In trios, Forest Lakeís Lindsey Cawford, Cori Kettler and Frances VanSloun took first. In duets, Larson and Perrault took first while Carlson and Schwarz placed second. Perrault won solos and Carrie Peterson was third. In junior varsity action, Forest Lake beat Osseo 29-0. Dana Setterholm took first place for the Rangers.

Softball team falls to 2-5 with SEC losses
The Forest Lake Senior High softball team fell to 2-5 on the season with three Suburban East Conference losses last week. On Monday, Park (Cottage Grove) beat Forest Lake 4-0. Sam Hough and Kacie Lingl had Forest Lakeís only hits. On Wednesday, April 25, Stillwater defeated the Rangers 4-0. Lindsey Gervais had two hits for the Rangers. On Tuesday, April 23, Woodbury scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth and held off a seventh-inning rally by the Rangers to take a 5-4 victory. Jamie Falck and Lingl each had two hits for the Rangers while Lingl and Mary Sobiech had two RBIs apiece.

Mounds View rolls past FL tennis squad
Mounds View, one of the top tennis teams in the state, dropped the Forest Lake boys tennis team to 1-5 on the season with a 7-0 victory over the Rangers on Tuesday, April 23. The Mustangs won all seven matches in straight sets.

Swanson leads Rangers at Hastings CC
Junior Krista Swanson shot a seven-over par 43 to lead the Forest Lake girls golf team to a tie for fifth place in a Suburban East Conference meet at Hastings Country Club on Thursday, April 25. Christie Brink followed with a 46 while Laura Henry shot a 54, Krista Skoglund a 57 and Trisha Thomson added a 62. Woodburyís Stacey Linduska was the medalist with a 41. On Tuesday, April 23, Forest Lake shot a 422 as a team to place 12th at the Elk River Invitational.
