FL Rotary food drive is Saturday

The Forest Lake Rotary Club will conduct a food drive this Saturday with all items collected going to the Family Pathways food shelf in Wyoming.

Club members will be stationed at Rainbow Foods in Forest Lake throughout the day collecting non-perishable food items and paper products.

The food drive is in conjunction with Gov. Jesse Venturaís recent proclamation of ìDiscover Rotary Dayî across Minnesota on May 18. Forest Lake is one of the many clubs in Rotary District 5960 that will be taking part on Saturday with a wide range of activities.

Exchange program

The local Rotary Club also reports this week it entertained five members of the Mexican Rotary District 4200 on May 8. The visit was part of the Rotary International group study exchange program.

The Mexicans attended the local club meeting at 7:15 a.m. and toured Premier Marine Inc. in Wyoming, visited the LATV public television studio in Forest Lake and explored the state-owned Carlos Avery Wildlife Management area west of Forest Lake.

The delegation included four Mexican business leader and one Rotarian. District 5960 sponsors a U.S. team each year.
