Teacher pact will go to board Monday

Ratification of a two-year contract with teachers in ISD 831 could come next Monday night.

The school board will meet in regular session at 7 p.m., Monday, May 6 and one of the agenda items is ratification of the contract for the 2001-2003 school years.

The board decision will follow a closed session during Mondayís meeting to discuss the employment agreement.

The district and negotiators for the Forest Lake Education Association have reached tentative agreement for the two-year pact. Terms of the settlement offer have not been made public.

Members of the teacher group last week reportedly voted to approve the settlement offer. The vote count by teachers has not been released.
