Kennedy gets nod from Republicans in 6th District

Republicans in the Sixth Congressional District Saturday, May 18 endorsed Congressman Mark Kennedy of Watertown. Kennedy, who defeated incumbent David Minge in 2000, has been redistricted to the 6th District.

The current incumbent in the district, Democrat Bill Luther, has decided to run in the 2nd District. Last weekendís convention took place at Anoka Hennepin Technical College.

ìI value this endorsement and am grateful for all the support here today,î Kennedy said. ìI am excited about the campaign and about representing the people in the Sixth District.î
