Letter carriers food drive is Saturday

Letter carriers in the Forest Lake area are gearing up for the 10th annual National Association of Letter Carriersí National Food Drive set for Saturday, May 11.

A year ago the nationwide effort collected and delivered 70.1 million pounds of food to community food banks. Over the past nine years, the drive has collected 462.4 million pounds. In the Twin Cities area last year, over 465,000 pounds of food was collected.

On May 11, food items to be donated should be left on door steps or at street side mailboxes.
