Bears, Raiders down FL tennis squad
The Forest Lake boys tennis team suffered a pair of defeats in Suburban East Conference action last week. On Wednesday, May 1, White Bear Lake won all three doubles matches to take a 4-3 win over the Rangers. Kyle Tennis took a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles for the Rangers while Luke Odegaard won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 3 singles and Steve Maefsky won 6-2, 1-6, 7-5 at No. 4 singles. On Thursday, May 2, Hastings took a 7-0 victory over Forest Lake. The Rangersí Tennis lost in three sets at No. 2 singles, as did Forest Lakeís No. 2 doubles team of Tyler Gage and Jeff Randall.

Boys track places fifth at Roseville Invite
The Forest Lake boys track team took fifth place at the Roseville Invitational recently. The Raiders won the team title with a score of 161. Forest Lake finished with a score of 74. Matt Lovgren placed first in the pole vault for the Rangers by clearing 13-0. Tyler Anderson took second in the long jump (20-3) and fourth in the triple jump (40-6) and Matt Rivard was fourth in the 100 high hurdles in 15.93. Andy Moryn was fifth in the 100 in 11.44 and fifth in the pole vault with an effort of 11-6.
