Chisago County arrests 3 men after Wyoming, Stacy armed robberies
Two Wyoming men and a third man from Hugo were arrested by a Chisago County deputy sheriff after two armed robberies of businesses in Wyoming and Stacy on Oct. 30. Sean Phillip Ogoman, 19, and James Douglas Christenson, 18, both of Wyoming, and Scott Patrick Barkeim, 21, of Hugo, were taken into custody on Wednesday night and held on charges of first degree aggravated robbery. Police were called at 7:45 p.m. on Oct. 30 when Wyoming Trustworthy Hardware reported an armed robbery had just taken place. At 8:17 p.m., the Stacy Amoco reported an armed robbery. Station employees reported two persons, one wearing a ski mask and one wearing a Halloween mask and carrying a black handgun, came into the station and demanded money. They left on foot after receiving money. County deputy Tim Sittlow arrived in the area where the suspects had been seen running and observed a vehicle at a stop sign. Sittlow shined a spotlight on the vehicle and saw it was occupied by three persons matching the descriptions similar to those given of the robbery suspects. After Sittlow made contact with the driver and other officers arrived, police observed a gun and backpack on the front floorboard of the car. Occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody and the gun, masks and money taken in the robberies were recovered. Chisago County Chief Deputy Todd Rivard said the gun was a black colored Marksman pellet gun which closely resembles a semi-automatic pistol. The Chisago County Sheriffís Office and Wyoming Police Department are in charge of the investigation. Police from North Branch, Lindstrom and the Minnesota State Patrol assisted.
