Hosanna ëRun for Jamaicaí set for Aug. 24

The community is invited to come on out for ėRun for Jamaicaî on Sunday, August 24.

Serious runners and those looking for a fun family day and walk are encouraged to sign up.
It is a USATF certified course and there will be a 5K start at 8 a.m. and a Kids 1K at 8:30 a.m.
Music, food, activities for all ages, and plenty of fun for everyone will follow the race.
Hosanna worship service will be at 9:30 a.m.

Registration forms are available at the Hosanna Church office at 9300 Scandia Tr. N. or register online at www.h51software.net.

Cost is $15 for adults and $10 for kids. Participants will receive a t-shirt with registration. Prizes also are available for placing in the race and kids games.

This is the fourth year for this event which helps raise funds for the Mission Jamaica project. Next January, a team of adults from Forest Lake will be going to the Westhaven Orphanage in Copse Jamaica.

Westhaven is home to 75 children with varying degrees of disabilities. The team works on continued building projects for new buildings at the site as well as doing various ėdo it yourselfî projects. The team also helps the staff with daily care for the children.
