Off to the Minnesota State Fair
Emily and Ben Montzka were off to the Minnesota State Fair on Wednesday with a trunk full of pumpkins. The summer harvest was grown in the Montzka garden near Wyoming. This marked the first time that Montzka has entered pumpkins in competition at the State Fair. The collection of pumpkins, including two giants weighing more than 200 pounds, will be on display in the Horticulture Building throughout the Minnesota State Fair which runs through Labor Day. When Ben Montzka isn't tending his garden and growing huge pumpkins, he works as a private practice attorney in Wyoming and serves on the Chisago County Board of Commissioners from the Wyoming and Stacy areas.
