Woman injured by ex-boyfriend in FL

A dispute with an ex-boyfriend turned ugly last weekend and resulted in medical treatment for the woman and a trip to jail for the man.

Forest Lake police were called to the womanís home in the 300 block of NW 3rd Ave. at 2:52 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 2.

At the residence, police were told the woman had been assaulted by a Lino Lakes man who had fled the scene. The woman later sought medical attention on her own and required approximately 30 stitches to her face and 10 on her chest after being cut by glass, police said.

The suspect, Joe Musil, 7017 Sunset Drive, Lino Lakes, was arrested by Lino Lakes police and turned over to the police in Forest Lake and taken to the Washington County Jail in Stillwater. He has been charged with third-degree felony assault.

City officers here also assisted Wyoming police with the stop of a female and male who allegedly pointed a gun at a North Branch woman. The 32-year-old woman reported the incident to police at 6:44 p.m., Friday, Aug. 1.

Wyoming police said no weapon was found in the car but the two subjects will be given a misdemeanor ticket. The charge yet to be determined, for using a PVC pipe to blow marshmallows at the womanís vehicle

The pair wanted in the incident was apprehended by officers from Wyoming, Forest Lake and the Minnesota State Patrol at the Washington-Anoka county line on TH-97 in Forest Lake.

A Forest Lake man has his boat and motor and trailer back with authorities recovering the stolen items even before Prince Tyler III knew they were gone.

Tyler, 22800 Imperial Ave. N., reported the theft of a 1998 17-foot runabout and 150 horsepower Evinrude outboard motor valued at $25,000 on Aug. 2. City police were notified the boat had been recovered in Chisago County.

A 2002 Dodge Ram pickup stolen last week from Forest Lake Chrysler Plymouth Dodge, 321 SW 19th St., was recovered by Minneapolis police in an impound lot there on July 30. The dealership reported the truck stolen on the same day.
