Proclamation honors FL chief
The Washington County Board of Commissioners on Dec. 2 adopted a resolution commending Chief David Schwartz on his 34 years of public service to the citizens of Forest Lake. Schwartz, who serves as the director of public safety and chief of police in Forest Lake, will retire on Dec. 31, 2003. A retirement banquet will be held in Schwartzís honor Friday, Dec. 12 at American Legion Post 225 in Forest Lake. The board proclaimed Friday, Dec. 12, 2003, as ěChief David Schwartz Day in Washington County.î The idea for the day of honor was recommended by County Board Chair Dennis Hegberg of Forest Lake.
