Early Stages Theatre will present a free holiday show at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20 at the VFW Club, 556 SW 12th St. in Forest Lake.The show, titled ìThereís No Business Like Snow Businessî is a holiday family comedy in one act. The show features the talents of 15 young area performers.
This is the third holiday season the VFW and Early Stages has brought an original holiday production to the Forest Lake area. Early Stages Theatre is dedicated to providing a venue for young performers, creating family entertainment and contributing to community service.
This yearís show includes loveable characters from previous holiday shows including Santa and Mrs. Claus, Cookie the head baker and the mischievous elves Darla and Bob.
New characters this year include Steve, a dancing reindeer; Crystal the kitchen assistant turned singer and fiendish Old Man Winter who is set on destroying Christmas.
This event will include cookies with the Clauses following the show and an opportunity to take pictures with Santa.
There is no admission charge, but free will offerings of cash or non-perishable food items will be collected and donated to area food shelves.
