City has Christmas tree drop site

Christmas is still a week away, but the city of Forest Lake has announced plans for what to do with discarded Christmas trees later this month. The city has designated the former town hall at 21350 Forest Blvd. N. as its official tree drop location this year. The drop site will be available from Wednesday, Dec. 26 through Tuesday, Jan. 25 for discarded trees. The site will be open from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily. There is no charge for tree disposal. All tinsel, wires and metal must be removed from trees. For more information, call Forest Lake City Hall at 651-464-3550.
