Lakeville downs Forest Lake gymnasts

Lakeville showed why itís the best gymnastics team in the state last week in defeating Forest Lake.

The Panthers swept the top three places in all four events in taking a 150.425-130.525 victory over the Rangers on Tuesday, Feb. 4.

In fact, Lakevilleís performance was so dominating that Forest Lake only had two top-five finishes in the meet. Both of which came from Rachel Turry.

Turry finished fourth on uneven bars with a 9.1 and was fifth on beam with an 8.35.

In the junior varsity portion of the meet, Lakeville defeated Forest Lake 132.40-121.65.

Katie Thomas finished third on beam for the Rangers with a 7.4.
