Filing period for Wyoming Town Board is open

Filing for three seats on the Wyoming Town Board is open.

The filing period, which began on Tuesday, Dec. 31, remains open until 5 p.m. Tuesday, January 14.

Up for election are chairman Donald Waller and supervisors Jeff Eiffler and Larry Parker.

While Waller was elected to the board, Eiffler and Parker were appointed to the office by the town board after resignations.

Eiffler was appointed in March thanks to a 4:1 vote. Other applicants then were Larry Parker and Robert ìBuckî Schott.

When Mike Peterson resigned this fall, the board dug out the old applications and re-interviewed Parker and Schott and voted to give Parker a seat at the board.

Candidates for the election must be residents of Wyoming Township and at least 18-years-old. There is a $2 filing fee. The town hall is located at 7665 Wyoming Trail and can be reached by calling 651-462-4947.
