Threatening skies

The skies in the Forest Lake area turned ominous Monday evening. Kim Grimes, who lives in the southeast side of Third Lake captured this image of a funnel cloud with his camera. Forest Lake Director of Public Safety Dave Schwartz said there were three separate funnel clouds, one at 205th and Manning, one at Marine on St. Croix and one
in the Clear Lake area. Though there were a few reports of minor property damage, no injuries were reported. "It was a situation that could have gotten bad but luckily it didn't," Schwartz said.
