Posted: 7/9/03 InterACTION day unites youth from FL, Minneapolis
InterACTION day is July 12 at Lakeside Memorial Park. Kids 5-12-years-old are invited to a free picnic at the park 1-3:30 p.m. Saturday. The event is sponsored by the Forest Lake Human Rights Commission with grants from the St. Paul Foundation, VFW Post 4210 the Firefighterís Company F and local businesses. Kids from the Imani Family Services organization will be at the event. Each child attending will receive a certificate commending them for their participation. There also will be a fun walk to recognize the importance of diversity. Food includes cookies, hot dogs, chips and soft drinks. Those who can attend should call Forest Lake City Hall at 651-464-3550. Press 1, then press 9. Individuals can attend even if they do not pre-register. |
