Decision Monday on FLHS principal
A hiring decision on a new principal at Forest Lake High School could be made as soon as next Monday. The ISD 831 Board of Education will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday in the Central Learning Center, 200 SW 4th St., to hear a recommendation from Superintendent Lynn Steenblock regarding a replacement for Mark Robertson. Robertson has resigned this spring and has accepted a job as superintendent of schools in Fridley. The board will also formally accept Robertsonís letter of resignation at next Mondayís special meeting. Steenblock is expected to announce his recommendation for a replacement during the special meeting. Five candidates were interviewed by two district interview teams last week with two finalists emerging. The names of the two finalists have not been released. The meeting on Monday was scheduled after attempts to schedule a meeting this week could not be made within the required 72-hour notice requirement for a special school board meeting.
