Northwoods wine tasting benefit set

It will soon be time to sample fine wines and help the local animal shelter. The annual spring wine tasting benefit for the animals of Northwoods Humane Society in Forest Lake will take place on Friday, April 11.

For the second year, the event is being sponsored by MGM Wine & Spirits.

This yearís wine tasting benefit will take place at American Legion Post 225, 355 W. Broadway Ave. Hours for the event are 6:30- 9 p.m.

Tickets for the event are $35 per person in advance. Tickets at the door on April 11 will cost $40.

The admission price includes light hors díoeuvres, live music, a silent auction and a complimentary wine glass. Guests can sample more than 200 different varieties of wine and an assortment of select beers.

A huge selection of silent auction items will be up for bid during the event.

Tickets may be purchased in advance at MGM Wines & Spirits in Forest Lake next door to Cub Foods or from Northwoods Humane Society on US-8 just east of Forest Lake. Credit cards will be accepted at both locations for tickets.

The evening promises an opportunity to sample a variety of wines and beers in good company while supporting the neglected and abused cats and dogs that are surrendered to Northwoods Humane Society.
