ISD 831 taking resumes to fill board spot

The resignation of ISD 831 School Board member Rebecca Otto was accepted at the boardís Monday meeting and the process of finding a replacement is underway. Otto resigned effective Feb. 17, 2003, after winning a special election on Feb. 11, to fill the 52B House seat which was left open by the appointment of Representative Mark Holsten to Assistant Commissioner of the DNR by Gov. Tim Pawlenty. After accepting Ottoís resignation, the school board stated it will be accepting resumes from individuals wanting to fill the position. The application process will close by March 20. Interviews for the position will likely take place the week of March 24 and the possibility of the position being filled by the week of March 31.
