Boys track
ï Members of the Forest Lake boys track team spent Friday in two different places.
Coach Paul Kendrick sent part of his team to the Duluth Invitational and the remaining team members to the Edina Invitational.

Forest Lake finished fourth at the Duluth Invitational despite not having its full squad there.
Chris Clark ran a personal-best time of :52.6 seconds to finish second in the 400 while Lorin Skoglund placed second in the 800 with a time of 2:08.5.

Chad Bjorklund was fifth in the 800 in 2:11.0 while John Fahnhorst was third in the 3,200 in 10:31.5.

Bryan Brodeur finished third in the shot put with an effort of 46 feet, 2 1/2 inches. He also placed fifth in the discus with a toss of 126-3.

Justin Okeson finished sixth in the 110 high hurdles with a time of 16.7 while Aaron Schneider was third in the 100 in 11.5.

Matt Keller added a seventh-place finish in the 200 with a time of 24.1 and Brain Maloney was sixth in the triple jump with a leap of 36-11 3/4.

Forest Lakeís top relay was its 1,600 squad which finished third in 3:35.6 while the 400 relay team finished fourth in 46.3 and the 800 relay team was fifth in 1:37.0.

Complete results from the Edina Invitational were not available.

Boys golf
ï Members of the Forest Lake boys golf team took part in a pair of meets Monday.

In one meet, Forest Lake finished 21st at the Purple Hawk Invitational. Duluth Marshall was the team champion with a 318 and Chisago Lakes placed second with a 321. Forest Lake finished with a team score of 375.

Eric Larsen led the Rangers with an 89 while Nick Hoefle shot a 93, Nate Denny a 94, Kyle Braun a 99 and Andrew Kelly, a seventh-grader, finished with a 101.

Also on Monday, Forest Lake competed at the Hastings Invitational.

The Rangers finished 18th out of 20 schools with a score of 357. Hastings won the team title with a 309 and Stillwater tied for second with a 313.

Noah Lawson shot a Forest Lake-best 86 while Mark Moberg finished with an 87. Brad Lange shot a 90 for the Rangers while Mike Paisley finished with a 94, Jacob Svenkeson a 96 and Adam Svenkeson a 97.

On Thursday, May 1, Forest Lake tied with Park for seventh place at a Suburban East Conference meet hosted by Woodbury at Prestwick.

Jacob Svenkeson led the Rangers with a 38 while Denny, Ryan Moen and Lawson finished with 41 apiece. Paisley finished with a 42 and Larsen had a 43. Woodbury won the conference meet with an even-par team score of 144.
