Schwartz retirement event is Dec. 12

With 12 associates, friends and former co-workers slated to speak, retiring Forest Lake Chief of Police David Schwartz will most certainly be roasted and toasted on Friday, Dec. 12. Schwartz will be the guest of honor at a retirement dinner set for American Legion Post 225, 355 W. Broadway Ave. Former Police Chief and Sheriff Jim Trudeau will serve as master of ceremonies. The event will begin with social hour at 5:30 p.m. followed by an Italian buffet dinner served from 6:30-7:30. An awards and recognition program will follow. Dinner tickets are $16 per person. Tickets are available by calling Kim Lange at 651-464-5877 or by writing to kim@flpd.com. Checks payable to American Legion Post 225 can be mailed or left at the Forest Lake Police Department, 210 N. Lake St. A ticket deadline of Nov. 28 is in place.
