Itís been a time long in coming for the congregation of Hosanna Lutheran Church.After nearly 18 months of rebuilding, Hosanna will dedicate its new Forest Lake facility with a series of dedication events this Saturday and Sunday.
Hosanna, which has facilities in Forest Lake and Hugo, lost its north campus to fire on Memorial Day 2002. The congregation has spent the last 1‡ years reconstructing the Forest Lake facility.
On Saturday, the Forest Lake campus will be open to the public for a dedication buffet-style dinner. A free will offering for the meal will be accepted.
The dinner will take place from 5-6:45 p.m. in the fellowship hall area.
A brief dedication program followed by a free concert featuring Mark Williams will be presented at 7:30 p.m. in the Great Hall.
The dedication weekend will continue on Sunday with regular worship services at the North Campus in Forest Lake and the South Campus in Hugo.
ěThe church is eager to celebrate with the community that surrounded them with such overwhelming support following the crisis,î said Pastor Michael Sparby.
The Forest Lake campus of Hosanna Lutheran is located on TH-97 3‡ miles east of US-61.
