Police investigate thefts, break-ins

Police in Forest Lake are investigating a number of thefts and break-ins reported during the last week.

On Nov. 4, Timmís Marina, 9080 Jewel Lane N., reported two break-ins of trailers parked at the marina. A shed on the grounds had its lock cut in a third theft attempt.

Other than damage to the windows of the trailer and the lock to the shed, nothing appears to be missing, police said.

A home construction site on Fenston Ave. was not as fortunate.

Bruggeman Homes, White Bear Lake, reported to police on Nov. 6 that a washer and dryer with total value of $600 had been stolen from the home.

On Nov. 5, a resident reported finding a purse in the 1000 block of SE 5th St. Police said The purse had been reported stolen on Sept. 18.

It was found with all personal documents inside but did not contain any cash the owner carried in the purse. The area where the purse was recovered is an undeveloped area that is used for foot traffic only and is not a developed street, police said.
