Parents math meeting tonight in FL

A parents meeting information night for integrated mathematics in grades 9-12 will take place 7-8 p.m. tonight (Thursday) at the Forest Lake Area High School Media Center. Parents of students enrolled in integrated math courses at Century Junior High School, Southwest Junior High School, Forest Lake High School or the Area Learning Center, as well as interested community members, are invited to join teachers from the secondary math department for a discussion of frequently asked questions concerning math education in the secondary schools. Parents will be able to join in a conversation around concepts/topics covered in math classes, along with the strategies and techniques used in teaching. Use of the graphing calculator will also be discussed. Guests are asked to bring a writing utensil and a graphing calculator.
