Women in the Outdoors

The Women in the Outdoors National Wild Turkey Federation will be holding their first annual Women in the Outdoors Event Saturday at the Forest Lake Sportsman Club at 4648 N 240th Street.

The event is open to women ages 14 and older who want to get hands-on experience and develop skills in outdoor activities, all in a fun, non-threatening environment.

The Women in the Outdoors Event will begin with registration at 8 a.m., then there will be courses in archery, trailer backing/chainsaw operation, basic shotgun handling techniques, fly fishing, and more.
The cost of the event is $55. The price includes lunch, instruction, use of all equipment, consumable supplies, program materials, a Women in the Outdoors visor, and a one year subscription to the quarterly magazine Women in the Outdoors.
