Color guard opens Catholic session
The color guard from American Legion Post 225 now has the distinction of being the first Legion color guard to open a session of the Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women. The color guard was on hand at the Hilton Hotel in Minneapolis last Saturday to help open the meetings. Participating on behalf of Post 225 were El Ewert, Don Skow, Fred Torning and Scott Kreiter. Ewert also performed the national anthem. Mickey Remitz, Forest Lake, military resource person for the Archdiocesan Council of St. Paul and Minneapolis, arranged for the color guardís visit. Last weekendís convention was the 51st annual meeting of the National Council of Catholic Women.
