CR-22 crash in Linwood Monday claims life

A car accident on CR-22 in Linwood Tonwship claimed the life of Eve Steinbruckner, 22, of Wyoming, at about 3 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 6.

According to the Anoka County Sheriffís Office, Steinbruckner was driving her Honda Accord eastbound on CR-22 near Carlisleís Store when it veered into oncoming traffic. Steinbrucknerís vehicle struck a westbound Ford E-450 passenger van.

The only witness to the accident is the driver of the Ford E-450. No other cars were in the area at the time of the accident, officials said.

According to investigators, it is not known if Steinbruckner was speeding. Anoka County Sheriffís Department Capt. Bob Aldrich said a Minnesota State Patrol reconstruction team has visited the scene of the accident.
The reconstruction team will try to determine how fast the cars were going and what happened as they collided.

ìSadly, the victim probably wasnít too far from home,î Capt. Aldrich said.

Visitation for Steinbruckner will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10 at at Maranatha Assembly of God, 24799 Forest Blvd (US-61), Wyoming. A funeral service is planned 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 11 a.m. at Maranatha with interment at Scandinavian Cemetery, Forest Lake.
