Carnival rides, food, music, dance bands and plenty of fun will be part of this yearís St. Peterís Fall Festival in Forest Lake.The three-day event opens Friday and continues through Sunday at the church, 1250 South Shore Drive.
The annual event is a fund-raising vehicle for the church and St. Peterís Elementary School.
A new event this year is a Saturday night dance, set 6-10 p.m. with the entertainment provided by Twin Cities Soundz Band. Tickets will be sold at the door.
The three-day celebration also includes the carnival rides and attractions of Herr Amusements. Some of the attractions include the magic acts of Mike Wilke.
All activities will take place inside and on the grounds at St. Peterís Catholic Church.
Returning to this yearís Fall Festival lineup is an appearance by the Rockiní Hollywoods. The popular band will entertain from 8 p.m. to midnight Friday with tickets sold at the door.
Here is the complete weekend schedule of events:
Friday
ï5-10 p.m., amusement rides for adults and children.
ï7 p.m., teen party with games and all-you-can-eat pizza and pop.
ï8 p.m.-Midnight, public dance featuring the Rockiní Hollywoods.
Saturday
ïNoon-10 p.m., amusement rides for adults and children.
ï6-9 p.m., Outdoor food stands open with barbeque brats, hotdogs, hamburgers and sweet corn.
ï6-10 p.m., Public dance featuring Twin Cities Soundz Band.
ï7 p.m., Bingo, bridge and 500 card tournaments. Competition offered for beginners and experienced players.
Sunday
ï11 a.m. and all day: Traditional Fall Festival activities including silent auction, country store (including garden produce), treasure palace, basket boutique, used book sale, teen and adult games, activities for younger children.
ï11 a.m.-4 p.m., Pork and turkey dinner with all the trimmings.
ï11 a.m.-5 p.m., amusement rides for adults and children.
ïNoon-4 p.m., special entertainment on the grounds.
The drawings for raffles sold at the festival will take place at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.
