Damchik returns to watershed board
Richard Damchik, a longtime public servant from Forest Lake, has been reappointed to the Comfort Lake-Forest Lake Watershed District Board. His reappointment was made by the Washington County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday, Aug. 24. The Comfort Lake-Forest Lake Watershed District was formed in September 1999 to carry out conservation of the natural resources of the state through land utilization, flood control and other needs based upon sound scientific principles for the protection of the public health and welfare and provident use of natural resources. Damchik is completing his second term on the board. His third term will continue through September of 2007. He currently serves on the Forest Lake Planning Commission and spent many years as a town board supervisor in Forest Lake prior to the merger of the city and township.
