Grant will aid plans for FL park-and-ride

A federal grant totalling $489,548 will assist the Minnesota Department of Transportation in locating a park-and-ride lot in the Forest Lake area. Sixth District Congressman Mark Kennedy on Monday announced that MnDOT has received the grant from the Federal Transit Administration. The grant dollars will allow MnDOT to acquire land for the park-and-ride lot. ìI am pleased that the Federal Transit Administration is making this grant to Forest Lake,î Kennedy said. ìThis park-and-ride lot is just one more way to help alleviate traffic in the area so that we are not stuck and away from our families.î
