There will be plenty of wines to taste and more on Friday, Sept. 24 when the fall wine tasting benefit for St. Francis of Assisi Animal Rescue takes place in Forest Lake.The evening is slated from 6:30-9 p.m. at American Legion Post 225, 355 W. Broadway Ave.
The Sept. 24 event is a benefit for the local animal rescue organization and is sponsored by MGM Wine & Spirits of Forest Lake.
This yearís fall event will also include the entertainment of magician Jack Daly who will be performing throughout the evening.
Through MGM Wine & Spirits, more than 200 unique wines will be available for tasting. A selection of premium German beers will also be offered to ticket buyers on Sept. 24.
Along with the sampling opportunities for fine wines and beers, the evening will also include a silent auction, a raffle and hors díoeuvers.
St. Francis volunteers are also encouraging attendees to donate a bag of dog or cat food on the evening of the benefit.
A donation will result in one free raffle ticket. Donate 20 pounds or more of dog or cat food and receive two free raffle tickets.
Tickets for the event are $35 in advance or $40 at the door. Advance tickets may be purchased at MGM or Kodiak Coffee in Forest Lake.
Raffle prizes for the evening are: 1st, Old Town canoe; 2nd, log rack with cord of wood; and 3rd, case of premium wine.
