Absentee ballots available for primary
Absentee balloting is now possible for Washington County residents who will not be in their precinct to vote on primary election day, Tuesday, Sept. 14. Absentee voting is available to citizens who reasonably expect to be unable to go to their polling place on election days because of absence from the precinct, illness, disability, religious discipline or observance, or service as an election judge. Absentee voting may be conducted in person or through the mail. An application must be completed to obtain a ballot. Applications may be obtained from the Washington County Elections Division or municipalities. For local information on absentee voting on Sept. 14, call Forest Lake City Hall, 651-464-3550, Hugo City Hall at 651-429-6676, or the New Scandia Township Hall at 651-433-2274. For information on the absentee ballot application or voter registration process call 651-430-6175.
