School district retains demographer

ISD 831 has retained the services of a demographer for an updated demographics study and enrollment projections. The school board on Monday, April 5 voted 6-0 with one member absent to retain Hazel H. Reinhardt to complete the work. She submitted a proposal to complete the work for $4500 plus mileage reimbursement of 31 cents a mile. Reinhardt was also employed by the district for a demographics study in 2000-2001. The updated study was requested by the school board to help the district stay current with growth in the cities and township that make up ISD 831 and population trends and projections they will have on school district enrollment. Reinhardt said the study will take one month to complete.
