Wyoming will lose LGA dollars

The city of Wyoming is among area communities that will lose local government aid, according to a study conducted by the Minnesota House of Representatives Research in late March. According to the study, which shows the difference between the 2004 LGA amount and projected 2005 LGA amount, Wyoming will lose $1853 in LGA. Other area cities and their projected loss of LGA are: Chisago City: $26,804; Coon Rapids, $232,817; and Anoka, $15,000. Forest Lake and Lino Lakes are unaffected either plus or minus, because their LGA is gone. ó Tim Budig, ECM Capitol Reporter
