The Forest Lake High School girls golf team opened their season finishing sixth out of eight teams at Midland Hills Monday with a team score of 205.

Junior Jenna Lee led the team with a score of 47 that included four pars and three bogies.
ìThis was a real good score for her,î Rangers head coach Bill Loushine said. ìI had her playing in the number four spot and she came in as the number one.

Junior Sarah Berger finished second for the Rangers with a score of 51. Senior Rachel Martin finished third on the team with a 53, and sophomore Ashley Weeda finished fourth with a 54.

ìIt was our first outing of the season and the girls all felt like they can improve on their performances,î Loushine said. ìItís early, and not time to panic, golf takes timing and rhythm and that will come in time.î

The Rangers next outing is Monday at the Elk River Invitational at 12 p.m.
