Walk with the Animals is Sept. 18

The next Walk with the Animals, a benefit for the Northwoods Humane Society in Forest Lake, is set Saturday, Sept. 18. The fund-raiser will take place in Wyoming at the Pinehaven Farm. The Sept. 18th event is the sixth annual walk for the non-profit organization that takes in and cares for neglected, abused and unwanted companion animals. Proceeds from the annual walk are used to offset costs for veterinary care, including medicines, vaccinations, and spaying and neutering of animals before adoption. Funds are also used to purchase other supplies needed in the care of animals at the shelter.
