State EDA honors locals with awards

Forest Lake and Chisago County individuals have been recognized as winners of the annual Economic Development Award from the Economic Development Association of Minnesota. An honorable mention award was made in the business recruitment category for the Anderson Corporationís Plastic Extrusion Manufacturing Facility. Included among the individuals recognized by the EDA were: Kristin Barsness of Barsness Consulting Services, Forest Lake; Christopher Eng, Chisago County HRA-EDA executive director; and Joel Lynch, city of North Branch. The EDAM serves economic development professionals throughout Minnesota and has more than 400 members who represent private enterprise, local and regional economic development agencies, chambers of commerce and utilities.
