After nearly 27 years of ownership by the Forster family, Wyomingís Trustworthy Hardware Store has changed hands and will soon have a new name.

On a deal closed Monday, Aug. 16, business owners Dick and Jeanne Forster and son Rich Forster transferred ownership of the Wyoming hardware business to the owners of the Forest Lake Ace Hardware Store.

Partners Cathy and Ben Sanderson and Sandy and Sam Husnik are the new owners.

The Wyoming store has been closed for remodeling and restocking. Plans are for the Wyoming Ace Hardware to open on Tuesday, Sept. 7.

The new owners plan a major increase in store inventory by more than doubling the inventory over the first month of the Ace concept.

The new owners plan to maintain the successful Forster rental division and will add new store lines including lawn and garden equipment, snow blowers and barbeque grills.

An expanded paint department will include a computerized paint color matching system.

Cathy Sanderson will serve as store manager in Wyoming while Sandy Husnik will remain in charge of the Forest Lake Ace Hardware at the Lake Shoppes.

New hours in Wyoming will be 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 to 5:30 on Saturday and 10 to 4 on Sunday.

A grand opening date will be announced for this fall.
